[Week 3] The Thrill of Victory!

"Great things are done when men and mountains meet."
― William Blake

I've never been so proud to accomplish so little.  Mountains in my life include high blood pressure, improper diet and moving a 300 lbs body by the mode of walking and jogging.  This weekend, I completed a 6-mile walk/run that included two stretches of continuous running of 1-mile.  Why do I consider this to be so little when many people find it hard to go 1-mile much less six?  It's a feeling relative to my 2014 marathon accomplishment. Make no mistake, this is huge right now and I'm feeling accomplished!

Can I brag on my beloved, Debra? She finished a non-stop 5K jog!  Couch-to-5K in three weeks is very impressive.   Way to go Debra!

January Summary

77 Miles for the month!

Minus 15 pounds for the month!

1-Month Stats:

  • Current weight: 302 lbs
  • 1-Month weight loss: 15 lbs (not typical but awesome)
  • Continuous run: 1-mile (x2)
  • Current BP: 134/72 (62 rhr)
