[Week 2] A Partner's Journey

Walk a journey by yourself and be lonely. Walk a journey with a partner and enjoy deeper intimacy. Debra's company has encouraged my fitness and motivated me towards consistency.  Additionally, her achievements in diet and exercise this week have added a boost to our routine.

[Week 1] Battles Waged at the Table

Let's be honest, the battle of weight-loss is won on the field of grazing.  Have you ever gone from denying yourself nothing to denying yourself those things that satisfy the savage deep within?  From the depths below, I fought the lusus naturae all week. An epic was wage for stories to be told in one-dimensional form, and while I'm not sure that a hero emerged, ground is gained, and the journey continues. Ten-pound weight-loss is not typical but joyfully accepted as achievement.

Week 0 - Consistent Walking

How does one coax a 317 lbs. body into exercise?  By attending a journey that begins with one step... and then another.  Elementary, right?  With morbid obesity for a foundation and a framework built with heart disease, simple tasks like walking are formidable. But, I did it!
